Tucson Newsletter – June 2021 Market Report
June “Active Listings” saw an increase of 19.8% to 901 single family homes on the market. While month over month improved, the inventory of homes on the market is down 42.2% drop from June 2020.
The continued strong demand, low interest rates for mortgages and low inventory means one thing. Prices are going UP!

Monsoon Season Is Here – But Is A Monsoon?
Since 2008, the National Weather Service says the monsoon season is from June 15 to September.
Tucsonans ignore that declaration. For us, the monsoon begins when you feel and see it.
Clouds pile up over the mountains all day, then roll off in late afternoon to darken the sky above your house.
The monsoon begins when lightning pulses and crackles. Then a sudden downdraft that scatters dust in all directions.
After that, the rain begins. Rain can be heavy or light depending on where you are. The clouds and rain cools things down for an evening of watching white veins of lightning on the horizon.

July 2021 Tucson Homes Newsletter – Gardening Tips For August
Water: Adjust the drip system to accommodate warming temps and monsoon season. Large established cacti and succulents will need supplemental watering if monsoon rains are scarce.
Fertilize: Trees, shrubs and vines using ammonium sulfate. Do NOT fertilize anything that goes dormant in winter.
Prune: All that went wild during the monsoon season.
Plant: Flowering bulbs, herbs, desert shrubs, cacti, euphorbia, agave, yucca, and palms.
