Finding the Best Tacos in Tucson
Tucson, Arizona means Mexican cuisine! That also means tacos are a staple. Tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
But what makes a taco great?
Greatness of a taco lies in its simplicity and the harmony of its components. It starts with a fresh, soft tortilla, which can be either corn or flour based on personal preference.
The tortilla serves as the foundation that holds all the other ingredients together.
The filling is next. Seasoned meat like beef, chicken, or pork. The filling is the star of the taco when seasoned to perfection.
And then the toppings. Crisp vegetables like lettuce and ripe tomatoes adds texture and flavor. OH, and don’t forget the cheese and salsa.
Is your mouth watering for a Taco? Good!

Tucson Homes Newsletter August 2024 – Gardening Tips for July & August
Water: Adjust the drip system to accommodate warming temps and monsoon season. Large established cacti and succulents will need supplemental watering if monsoon rains are scarce.
Fertilize: Trees, shrubs and vines using ammonium sulfate. Do NOT fertilize anything that goes dormant in winter.
Plant: Flowering bulbs, herbs, desert shrubs, cacti, euphorbia, agave, yucca, and palms.
Prune: All that went wild due to the monsoon rains.
Check On Things: Watch for wilting leaves that don’t recover overnight; adjust watering to eliminate stress. Remember to water plants in the morning. This time of year even the native plants need supplemental water if it’s not raining.
