Is “A Mountain” just a mountain or much more?
A Mountain in Tucson— is and one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. It’s west of downtown with deep cultural history, great views, and a famous giant “A” on its slope.
The large whit came about in 1916 by University of Arizona students. It is often repainted to emphasize local events.
