World War II brought Falcon Field and Williams Field for pilot training and military personnel streamed into Mesa Arizona. Perhaps the most prominent for behind the grow of Mesa Arizona, as well as many other cities, was air conditioning.
The ability to cool the clean Arizona air increased tourism and made the population exploded.
In the 1960’s, it is estimated over half of the residents of Mesa Arizona made a living in agriculture. But no more. As Phoenix grew, so did Mesa Arizona. In 2022, Mesa Arizona has a population of over 500,000 and continues to grow.
