 Oro Valley

The area of Oro Valley has been inhabited discontinuously for nearly two thousand years by various groups of people. The Hokokam tribe lived in the Honeybee Village located in the foothills of the Tortolita Mountains on the far north side of Oro Valley around around 500 A.D.  Hohokam artifacts continue to be discovered in the Honeybee Village that the Hohokam inhabited continuously for nearly 700 years.

 Dove Mountain

Located approximately 20 Northwest of Central Tucson, Dove Mountain is an area with a rich history and many contrasts.  Dove Mountain and the Town of Marana in which it located, has become one the faster growing residential areas in recent years, but its history dates back as far as 300 B.C. The Hohokam Indians seem to have materialized from a void and then vanished across the landscape.  In their time, from about 300 B.C. to 1450 A.D, they created a complex canal systems to irrigate their fields of corn, beans and squash. Wells were dug to tap underground water sources. They cultivated fruit bearing cactus and other desert flora and maintained sprawling plantations of agave for food and fiber.

 Golf Course Properties

Tucson and Southern Arizona is blessed with many golf courses and providing a mix of Public/Daily Fee, Semi Private and Private venues.  Listed below are golf course locations that offer homes on near the course.  In many of these communities, it is possible to own your golf cart and drive to the course - there will most likely be a fee to do this. 

Gated Communities

La Cholla Airpark

La Cholla Airpark is a unique Oro Valley, AZ community created around a 4,500 ft air strip.  Founded in 1972, it provides its residents/pilots the ability to hanger their planes at their homes and taxi to the air strip for flights.  The Airpark offers luxury living and immediate access to the "flight line".
